Please read these terms carefully before making your booking deposit.
These Basic Booking Terms apply when you reserve wedding services through My Norwich Wedding. They explain the basis upon which we will reserve your wedding date, take your booking deposit and prepare your full Wedding Services Agreement.
By accepting these terms and making the required payment, you confirm that you have read and understood them.

References in these terms to “we”, “us” or “our” mean the above business.
References to “you” or “the customer” mean the person making the booking.
Your booking relates to the wedding services and information you have supplied during the booking process, including:
Wedding date: Your selected wedding date
Wedding venue: Your selected wedding venue
The packages, additional services and add-ons you select during the booking process will determine the final price and scope of your booking.
You are responsible for checking that the wedding date, venue, contact details and selected services are correct before making payment.
Wedding dates are subject to availability.
Making the required booking deposit reserves the agreed capacity for your wedding while the remaining booking process is completed.
We may decline or cancel a provisional booking before the full Wedding Services Agreement is completed if there has been an obvious pricing error, fraudulent booking, material misrepresentation, technical error or another legitimate reason which prevents us from providing the Services.
If we do so for reasons that are not your fault, any booking deposit you have paid will be refunded.
Unless a particular service is expressly stated to require full payment when booked, a booking deposit of 20% of the net booking value is required.
The booking deposit is not simply an administrative payment. It is paid in consideration of us:
If you choose to cancel the booking, the booking deposit is normally non-refundable, provided that retaining it is fair and lawful in the circumstances.
We will never seek to retain more than we are legally entitled to retain.
Any sum retained following cancellation may take account of:
If the amount you have paid exceeds the amount that we are legally entitled to retain, the appropriate balance will be refunded.
Nothing in these terms removes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.
This approach is important legally: the CMA says cancellation provisions should reflect the business's likely loss rather than operate as an automatic penalty or allow a business to retain disproportionately large advance payments.
Some contracts entered into online, by telephone or away from business premises may carry statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
However, the Regulations contain exceptions for certain services connected with leisure activities where the contract provides for performance on a specific date or during a specific period. Government guidance specifically identifies some date-specific wedding services, such as wedding venues, as examples of circumstances where that exception can apply.
Because My Norwich Wedding offers a range of different services, the precise statutory position may depend upon the particular service purchased.
Nothing in these Booking Terms is intended to remove a statutory right of cancellation where one applies.
Where you have such a right, it takes priority over these contractual cancellation provisions.
Payment of the booking deposit does not replace the requirement to complete the Full Wedding Services Agreement.
Following payment, we will prepare your Wedding Services Agreement containing the detailed terms applicable to your selected services.
You will be asked to review and electronically sign that Agreement.
The Full Wedding Services Agreement will include, amongst other things:
Once electronically signed, the Full Wedding Services Agreement will become the principal agreement governing the provision of your wedding services.
These Basic Booking Terms will continue to apply to matters arising before the Full Agreement was signed, including the basis upon which the booking deposit was paid.
Unless your booking states otherwise, the remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule provided to you.
For standard wedding services, the full outstanding balance is normally due 30 days before the wedding date.
The exact payment schedule applicable to your booking will appear in your customer portal and Full Wedding Services Agreement.
Failure to make payment when due may result in Services being suspended or the booking being cancelled in accordance with the Full Agreement.
Any applicable sale prices, package discounts, multi-service discounts, vouchers and gift-card credits will be applied according to the rules displayed during the booking process.
A gift card is treated as stored-value credit rather than a cash discount.
Where a gift card or other credit reduces the amount payable, any percentage deposit will be calculated against the amount remaining payable where the applicable booking rules provide for this.
Once the booking deposit has been paid, services may only be changed subject to availability.
You may request additional services, extras or package upgrades.
Where an upgrade or additional service increases the booking price, your payment schedule will be recalculated accordingly.
You do not have an automatic right to downgrade or remove an agreed service simply because you later decide that it is no longer required.
Any cancellation or reduction will instead be dealt with under the applicable cancellation provisions and your statutory rights.
Services are normally provided within the geographical service area stated during booking.
Any wedding outside our normal service area must be expressly approved by us.
Where we have manually approved an out-of-area wedding, that approval applies only to the particular wedding and services agreed.
Additional travel, accommodation or staffing charges may apply where these have been disclosed and agreed.
You agree to provide information that is reasonably accurate and complete.
You must notify us if important information changes, particularly:
We are not responsible for problems caused by materially inaccurate or incomplete information where we could not reasonably have identified the problem ourselves.
Where your booking involves independent venues or suppliers, their availability cannot be guaranteed merely because you have booked services with us.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, independent suppliers remain responsible for their own contractual obligations.
Where our service includes supplier liaison, planning or wedding-day coordination, we will use reasonable care and skill when communicating and coordinating with those suppliers.
If we are unable to accept your booking, or we cancel it before the Full Wedding Services Agreement is entered into for reasons which are not caused by you, we will refund payments for Services which we will not provide.
We will not use these terms to retain a payment where doing so would be unfair or unlawful.
We will provide our Services with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing contained in these Basic Booking Terms excludes or limits any consumer right which cannot legally be excluded or limited, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If there is a conflict between these terms and a mandatory statutory consumer right, the statutory right takes priority.
You may accept these terms electronically.
Your electronic acceptance, together with the booking information, date/time of acceptance and payment information, may be retained as part of your booking audit record.
You will be able to access your booking information and subsequent Full Wedding Services Agreement through the My Norwich Wedding customer portal.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Nothing in this provision removes any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings in another UK jurisdiction where applicable.
